Taking new work

The bugs that get you breached are the ones scanners miss.

I test web apps and the APIs behind them the way a real attacker would, across the OWASP Top 10. I find the security flaws that automated tools walk right past.

The risk scanners miss

Scanners are worth running. They're fast and cheap, and with AI they keep getting better at catching common mistakes. I'd tell any team to use one.

But most of the serious bugs I've reported over the years weren't the kind a scanner looks for. Change the ID in a request and you're reading another customer's invoice. Skip one step in a checkout and the payment check never runs. To a tool these don't look wrong, because the request itself is perfectly valid. It just shouldn't be allowed.

Finding them means learning how your app is supposed to work, then trying to make it do something else. That's what I do.

What I test for
  • Broken access control

The app fails to enforce what each user is allowed to see or do, so a user can access or change resources and actions outside their own permissions.

  • Security misconfiguration

Default settings, verbose errors, open storage buckets, and admin or debug endpoints left reachable.

  • Injection

SQL, NoSQL, command injection and reflected XSS, where untrusted input reaches a query, the operating system, or another user's browser.

  • Insecure design

Business-logic flaws baked into how the app works: payment bypass, workflow and quota abuse, the gaps no scanner understands because they are unique to your app.

  • Authentication failures

Weak password-reset and OTP flows, guessable tokens, sessions that never expire. The fast path to account takeover.

> …and more, depending on your app's stack and attack surface.

The offer

A fixed price, and a report you can act on.

  • I test your app across the OWASP Top 10, with your permission and a defined scope.
  • You get a clear report: every finding, the exact request that proves it, and how to fix it.
  • Free re-test after you patch, to confirm it is closed.
